Jay read notes from Larry about cost of PayPal. John Bentz talked about filing with IRS if we have more than 25,000.00

Jay talked about the letter sent out from BASS members list about joining the CBF. Jay will be giving out the addresses to the clubs and give PPBM the Springs list also. Mile Hi sent out post cards got 9 new members. Jay talked about 8 mew members they got. Awareness is most important. Jay would like to hold off till next meeting the use of gift cert. to get new members. Talked about the “Drive the Nation” membership drive, Jay wants to buy new memberships. A motion was made and seconded to pay for and award 200 federation members. Discussion of the proposal included not knowing if 200 members would be enough to win the Drive the nation contest. We would easily get our money back if we won, but we would be out the money if we didn’t. A role call vote defeated this motion.

Jay talked about the seminar with Wilson Frazier no one has signed up. Motion passed to cancel the seminar.

As of 11/06 BASS says we have 235 members.

2^nd annual Military Kids Day will be 6/16 need boaters for Pueblo.

CAST event on 6/2 Horsetooth.

Jay is setting up an E Bay site to sell Fed. products. Motor Guide trolling motors we can buy for less and then sell on site. Motion to buy 2 – 82 lb. and 2 109 lb. setups under 2006 contract with out transducers. Motion passed. Jay will offer these on the discussion page first, before putting them on Ebay.

The federation still needs a Conservation Director.

SW asked for 1900.00 for work on Morgan Lake and their Casting Kids day

Centennial asked for 1000.00 for Wilson and Carter Lakes

DBM needs 500.00 for Rocky Mtn. Arsenal lakes. Motion passed.

Youth Director not at meeting but Jay read his report; kids club would like any extra equipment. Casting Kids final must be done by Sept. 15^th.

Tournament Director not at meeting- Jay talked about needing lakes for next years STQ for August meeting. Need to address all the problems associated with the breakdown at the STQ in Texas. Weigh ins should we buy new scales to do our own setups.

CBF will buy an 1800.00 scale system with computer motion was tabled till next meeting. Jay talked about the move from the west to the central and if this will happen.

Talked about each club being in charge of the STQ.
