4Qtr 2009 Report was accepted as published on line.
Treasurer’s Report:
Larry Krueger presented the current report for First
Quarter 2009, as of 1/16/2000 - please see separate report for complete det=
ails
Highlights of the report include:
Minimal activity for first quarter 2009
Total Cash Balance as of 1/16/09
General Fund balance was $34,151.71
2009 State Team balance was $10,009.08 (after split a=
nd
expenses)

Conservation Director’s Report

Youth Director’s Report:
Joe Laverly reported the
following:
There will be changes in 2009 to the programs
State Championship - generalized dollars for state
championship will include all kids in the amount (13 boats - 12 qualifiers =
and
1 defending champion)
Currently, the two existing Clubs (Denver and CBC) wi=
ll
have 6 qualifiers from each age group (12 in total per Club)
Each Club determines qualifiers
Total dollar amount, including fishing gear, food, and
other items for just the Championship cost in 2008 was $2,200
Anticipated date for Championship is September 12, 20=
09 (Horsetooth & Pueblo)
Need to continue to grow number of kids participating=

would like 20-25 boats versus 13 boats today

Jay discussed the following items
Alliance contract - nothing has changed with sponsors=

Triton, Mercury, Lowrance, Motorguide
and Optima
Obligates us to endorse their products
Drives the language in State Team Contract and related
clothing attire
Has seen other states do well by going to other vendo=
rs
Contract enabled Jay to make a deal with Nixon Marine=
in
WA to buy a boat and allow CBF to generate $5K in net proceeds
Nixon Marine is willing to do it again this year and =
will
work directly with Triton
$5K covers CBF operating costs
Exclusive contract - cannot sign with others
Alliance will supply the 2009 State Team Jerseys
Skeeter is
offering a membership type deal - % off of list price
Not sure what else is going on at the higher levels of
BASS
Presentation should be made at the upcoming Classic
meeting
Need to sign contract by EOM (originally requested
signature by 12/15/2008)
Recommended CBF signs the Alliance contract again
Motion made and members approve and accept Alliance
contract
BASS - continuing to make changes
Federation Nation has not been profitable ($180 -200K
loss)
Casting Kids spends over $250K in shipping
Don Cochran’s contract was not renewed
Mike Hubbard will be representing CBF at the Classic
meeting
Tom Rixe from BASS will be
presenting
Expect changes will occur at the Federation level
Contract extension for software for tournament scales=
Jay requested approval to sign contract with Taysys to continue contract for another year for $250
(includes updates and technical support)

STQT future format
Three formats have been presented and discuss at leng=
th
in prior meetings
Keep current format and two alternatives
Motion was made to keep the present STQT format for a
three year period (2010, 2011, 2012 and can be reexamined during 2012)
Motion was approved by six clubs (CBC, DBM, RMBM, SWB=
M,
PPM, and CO BM) and one voted no (MHBP)
State Dues - it was clarified even though BASS changed
their date when annual dues are to paid, CBF is not making any changes in t=
he
due date
2009 State Team Update
Contracts need to be signed by members
WA is hosting in May and need to verify launch site a=
nd reverify that there is no off-limits
